Project Final Portfolio

Image
The project at hand was creating a webpage that links up to our entire portfolio, our entire website as a whole, from all of our years in the web design academy. This task was simple as I kept consistency within my website by having the same navigation that I have on both my WCP and DD pages. However, instead of leading directly to labs or projects, this navigation led to either one of my years at the academy containing work from those specific years. These categories consist of Visual Design, Digital Design, and Web Client Programming. In addition to that, I also added my blogger to the navigation bar.  The headings were also consistent as I kept the theme of the user being an adventurer on my website. They were to look through my website to find my works and also find games that I have embed around my website from DD to WCP. They show my progression in game development that I have made during my time in the Web Design academy. In addition to that, my website also had pictures of ...

Project Spring Capstone

Image
I made sure to have 1 page for my main index, 4 pages per president, 1 references page, 1 creator page, and 1 reflection page. In the end, that all adds up to 20. For each president I wanted to focus on their legacy, public life, private life, and their inaugural address. I would then need to research each president under that specific category and then enter information onto my website so I could understand more about the presidents I am writing about. I implemented pictures of the presidents within their webpages too, 1 picture per page. I also made sure to link all of my sources used on the references page, both the informational sources and image sources. For the creator page, I wanted to give a brief description of myself as the creator of this website and for reflection page, I wanted to make sure I had noted down my thought process of my website as I was building it and after I had completed it. The CSS of all the webpages on this website are linked together to keep consiste...

Junior Achievements 2020

Junior achievements is a voluntary program that allows for us high school students to teach younger students in elementary school. As a participant of this program, I went to PSIS49 with a team of 5 people including myself. We entered the classroom prepared to teach the students about money, businesses and careers. We got a warm welcome from the class as we were setting up. The entire class went well throughout the day as there weren't any problems. While we presented the give topic, we got a lot of engagement from the students as they were very respondent of our questions. We went many topics and I feel that the students that day are now thinking about what they really wanna become in the future. Many want to become chefs, game developers, doctors, lawyers, etc. I feel like we impacted their lives' greatly and they will make smarter choices down their life using the information we gave them that day,

Project 5 - Credit Score App

Project 5 consisted of an app that I created on code.org in which I used JavaScript to simulate the calculation of a credit score. In order to complete this we needed to make sure we had a general idea of how a credit score is calculated. Since this information is concealed on a federal level, we don't know EXACTLY how a credit score is generated, however we do have a general idea of how it is credited. Credit scores are generated heavily on payment history, meaning that you should consistently pay your bills in on time and in full if you desire a good credit score. A credit score overall represents how likely you are to pay your debts back, which is why having a good credit score will allow for you to take out huge loans for houses or cars, without the bank having to worry about you not paying them back. The app I created was called "It's Credit Time". Within the title screen, I created two buttons of functionality. One was the start button and the other was the i...

CTE Expo Reflection Journal (Senior 2020)

Image
The objective of the CTE Expo was to introduce the incoming freshmen of that year, to the CTE academies that the school has to offer them. These academies consist of important skills that can help them shape a future career in a technical field if they were interested. In order to prepare for the CTE Expo, I had created a pitch that I would use to introduce myself to the freshmen and get them interested in the stuff that we do at the Web Design academy. I started introducing them to the academy by telling them about the cool websites and videogames you can make with the skills you obtain in the academy. During the actual event, I was the one approaching the freshmen to welcome them to the academy. I then asked them to follow me in order to show them my website that I created as well as one of the videogames that I made in my junior year. I explained to them how I made the game in a team of 3 people and that it took about a week. After getting their interest in the game, I let them ...

SMART Goals

Image
Making a SMART goal on the spot is kind of difficult, especially since I'm thinking about what I want to achieve and obtain further down my life. There are multiple goals that I have in mind, however, while filling out this sheet, I was only thinking about my future, so these goals refer to my education and the education I wish to pursue further on. I came up with a short, middle and long term goal that represents my future thought process. My short term goal was to pass high school while having high grades for my classes on my transcript like 95 and above. My middle-term goal was to excel in college, which means I would do great in college and not give in to the pressure that it would apply to me. My long-term goal is to find a career in the gaming industry for my future job. This could be either becoming a game developer or making money off of playing them competitively (esports).
