Junior Achievements / 8 hours of community service

My name is Brandon and for Junior Achievements we went to a public elementary school to teach 2nd graders. It was a very new experience considering that I never taught actual elementary schools before. My group and I had about 3 days to prepare for this event in advance. We were given a curriculum with activities to do with the students. We were assigned to teach 2nd graders about our communities. I was a little nerve racking to think about for a while. Then, when my inner confidence had sprung out, it felt like second nature when I was in the class room. When we went to the public school I was going to lead my team starting with the intro. As an introvert, but good public speaker, I had to endure a feeling of uneasiness as I was thinking what the students would think of me if I didn't do my job properly as their teacher. Then I realized I wasn't there alone and I had my team of 4 others with me to keep me comfort during the entire thing. When we first entered the classroom, th...

Emoti-Con 2019 - Project Xeno

The emoticon for 2019 was amazing! Me and the rest of team Kakushin, the developers of Project Xeno, had went to present our game there. It was a big place and there was food too! When we got there, we were given time to go around and look at other people's projects and development processes. When me and my team went around, we saw many different games, inventions using robotics and even VR! I was saying in my head that the competition was going to outweigh our project. Turns out I was wrong, but I'll get to that later. After the grace period, we were all gathered to sit in the auditorium-like area. We were assigned to make a bridge using the tools assigned to us in a black bag. We had popsicle sticks, strings, tape and etc. Our bridge was fully made of the string and it was very wavy. I doubt anyone would want to travel on the bridge we created. They would probably fall over into the river. Anyways, back to the experience, there was then a period where judges would come around...

Project 2 - Favorite Teacher

The purpose of this project was to make a website in honor of a favorite teacher of our choosing. The teacher I picked was Mr. Foucault. For this project I made a website with 4 html files. The first was an index for the home page and the other three were for a biography page, subject page, and a trivia page. For every page, I used a consistent css file to make sure the style is consistent throughout the entire site. I linked each page to the css to make sure all the pages had a blue gradient background and similar font styles. I also used a consistent navigation bar for each page that would take you to a page that you clicked on. There was also a picture of Mr. Foucault on each page as well. For the index page, I added my appreciation essay for the teach, basically why I'm making this website about them. It was to express how they made an impact on my life. Mr. Foucault has done a lot to earn my respect so I thought I should make this website about him because of how amazing he ha...
