Project 5 Interactive Brochure

This project was very simple and was an add-on to the brochure project. What we did was open up our brochure inside of in-design and then add animations to the text boxes, titles and pictures. This allowed for us to make our brochures move and have cool effects. There was also the page flip that we added to it to make it look more realistic. A web designer would need to have these skills to create animations within in-design and allow others to interact with their project instead of just seeing it there on paper or digitally. It creates more of a fun thing to work with and shows your skill in the art of animation.

Power Skill - Interview Skills

I think choice C was a joker that didn't have a clue what they were doing at the interview. She was unprepared and didn't seem professional. She was less serious about it and didn't stay on topic. However, the second applicant was a lot more professional and skilled in communication. She was more prepared then the first applicant and seems educated and ready for the job. I would want to be the second applicant because she was professional and got the job. She was educated and ready for the job before the interview and made sure she relayed her strengths without hesitating.

Power Skill - Networking

I am networking right now by exchanging information with other people, that includes my classmates at school and teachers along with the family I have at home. I know I'm networking with the right people because I am successful so far as of now. I haven't been slowed down or stopped by anyone currently. I also feel I am getting onto the path of becoming a master coder by joining the CTE Web Design academy. The network of people I'm depending on for the years would be my teacher and classmates of this class.

Power Skills - Communication

It is important to communicate your ideas clearly verbally and/or in written form so others could understand what you are saying and you can get your ideas clearly across. Same for the other way around, you want to try and understand what others are trying to tell you. Communication between people is a key thing in wanting to interact with someone. Verbally you would need to be clear and not talk slang or in text. Written would need to have all grammar in check and it would need to make sense.

Power Skills - Critical Thinking and Problem Solving

Problem solving and critical thinking are valuable skills as a we designer. This is because they allow you to read a situation and react to it. When you create things as a web designer you would need to check if things are available, copyrighted, or even if it suits you or not. The websites a web designer would create would obviously have some problems on it to start if they are new or so on. This could also apply to a skilled web designer if they rushed things.  They would need to act fast, think critically and fix the problem. Whether its in the code or design, web designers need to stay on top of their stuff and make sure all is in check.

Power Skills - Professionalism

You can show professionalism in school by being there on time for your classes. You could also communicate effectively and finding ways to be productive in school which would boost your professionalism. Submitting assignments in on time like homework and reports also count toward professionalism. Conducting yourself in a professional way in school would get you noticed too.

Power Skills - Teamwork

Some skills that are required to working with others as a cohesive team for a common goal are to brainstorm ideas, figure out a plan of action, and working together. This will boost progress in the workplace for you and others benefiting the entire team. Teamwork is essential for success in the workplace. When working together everyone accomplishes more and everyone benefits. So be sure to share the credit you get with your team!
