Lab #13 Reflection

This lab was another lab that required the work of a quiz on adobe illustrator. We were given some tasks and we had to complete them using the knowledge we had due to reading the chapter. It taught us how to make curved lines using the pen tool and how we could manipulate them to how the quiz expected them to be done. Since the file is saved as a pdf I cant really post it here for you to see but I can describe it. First off we were given the task of making a line with 5 points that had no curves like a sharp mountain. The next assignment was to make that line into curvy lines like rounded tops of a mountain. Then we copied the line and reflected it directly below it to connect them and make an enclosed shape in grey. The next task was harder then the rest of them. We had to reproduce the logo for a Paralympic Games as accurate as possible.  It was hard for the curves to look alike and it took a lot of effort to do it. Then we had to make a shape that looked like a drop which was very easy and required some curvy lines that connect. Then I had to make it small and copy it 4 times, and put it inside of a square that was rotated to look like a trapezoid. It looked like a diamond with 4 flower petals inside. It was so easy to do but looks great! A web designer needs these skills to be able to create ideal shapes in their mind that they couldn't replicate from someone else. In order for someone to be creative they use their own thoughts and ideas. This can certainly help with that because it allows web designers to create their own custom shapes they way they imagine it and want it to look like.
