This article was about the development of quantum computers and how the US, as well as other countries are working on them as well. A normal computer that uses bits of information like 0 and 1, while a quantum computer can use qubits to perform certain types of calculations very rapidly on vast amounts of data. The people internationally see these quantum computers useful for being able to help secure or break communication channels. Quantum computers in the future will able to run calculations that could never be run using conventional hardware. The quantum engineers being trained to use these computers will be the ones deciding its use for society.
In my opinion, I see these computers being used to do more complex things that we haven't ever been able to do on computers. When you think about what we are able to do now, there isn't much that comes to mind when you think about the advanced version of our everyday computer. People tell you, anything is possible, especially with our new technology. Developing these computers that can process much more data would, first off, be expensive as hell. I mean, qubits aren't normal bits like a computer. They are supposedly suppose to be able to run calculations a normal computer can't, meaning there is definitely going to be more uses then just searching the internet. Maybe even more complex games can be played on these computers, like advanced visual reality or even deeper. I am curious to see what these computers will bring for the future, I am going to be a game developer after all, so lets see what I have on the table to play with!
