This article is about the creation of a device that allows people to control a commercial tablet using their thoughts. In other words it can be classified as a mind controlled mouse. It was made for the purpose of those who are paralyzed and can't move or speak. This allows them to communicate and interact effectively with others and to use the devices with their mind. It was created from the testing of a brain computer interface, (BCI). "The BCI decoded brain activity associated with subjects' intent to move their hand and passed the information to a Bluetooth interface that works like a wireless computer mouse." Also, several tests were ran on the subjects who used the device to see how well they could use it. In the end, it got good results as others saw it as "second nature", and some were even able to continue on careers that, their body couldn't follow, until this new technology had been created. It can be a very useful device for aiding those who are going through "ALS to maintain the ability to communicate and engage in everyday activities through the progression of the disease."

In my opinion, I see this device being used to help many people that are disabled. Those who are paralyzed and can't move, those who can't speak, and others in that category. The way I see it, it's like having a wireless mouse plugged into your head and you can move it by thinking. This kind of technology thrills me because of how fast this came to be. Using the human brain to function technology is something that requires you to know what your doing in order for it to be created. As something as big as this, I can't say that technology won't become greater than humans. In fact, we rely so heavily on technology that we sometimes forget that we are the ones that create it and enhance upon it daily. Something as crazy as a Bluetooth mouse that responds to human thoughts is further enhanced now we are able to use brainwaves to detect such input. This kind of device can also help create games that you can play with your mind. The thought of using thoughts to play a game is beyond what I thought was possible. I might even consider looking into doing so in the future, if I cross paths with this kind of technology...
